My spiritual awakening has been in progress for six or seven years and maybe longer. Much of it has been spent learning to have faith in Spirit and trust in the process. Many times, I’ve been slowed down by my spirit team and told to trust the process. It was something I needed to learn.
It took years of healing and growth to understand that my spiritual awakening was for my best and highest good. Some of it was learned through experience and some of it was practiced. Over time I learned to honor my faith and trust, path and process.
Each step of my awakening process was guiding me forward on my spiritual path. My daily practices, prayers and affirmations, honoring my needs, honoring my intuitive and Divine guidance, all of it was moving me forward on my spiritual path.
With all that spiritual support, I never felt empowered. My thoughts were still driven by an old narrative. I was living with old conditioning, an old definition of empowerment. Taking charge of my life. Being bold and chasing my next opportunity. Honing my skills and trying to network even as a sensitive introvert.
Even though I had limited success under that paradigm, it was still in my awareness as I tried to rebuild my life again. I tried to take charge of my life. I was looking for a career path and a path towards financial prosperity. Seeking a way to overcome poverty and secure housing. It wasn’t working. I was fearful and I sought help.
Recently I was told by someone that I had to save myself from my current situation - unemployment and homelessness. I received no help from those around me even though they had the resources, expertise, and experience that could help me. My options and help were limited.
I felt disempowered. At times I felt shame for not being able to lift myself up. For not being able to restart my career, attract income opportunities, secure housing. I asked my spirit team and my soul for help understanding what had happened to my power. Where had it gone? What happened to me?
After a few weeks, the answer came in a moment of clarity. I saw empowerment from an entirely different perspective. One that I had never heard of before.
In one moment, I saw my spiritual path from the perspective of what I had overcome – neglect. My situation seemed impossible, and I felt neglected again.
In the next moment, I saw that neglect meant freedom. Their neglect had freed me of their pressure to rebuild my life a certain way. I was freed of other’s influence of what my life should be. I was free to rebuild my life in whatever way I wanted to. It felt empowering.
That moment of clarity showed me that all was possible. By being left to do things my way, I was being empowered to follow my intuitive and Divine guidance. I was being empowered to align with my spiritual path. I was empowered to rebuild my life, co-create my life, with my spirit team.
I am going to save myself, and I’m doing it my way. With my inner peace intact. Using prayer and affirmation to co-create my life with Spirit. Continuing my path of alignment and wholeness. By following my intuitive and Divine guidance. By honoring my spiritual path.
My spiritual awakening and my spirituality are the foundation of my life. They have kept me alive and well through my greatest challenges. I realize now that I am empowered, in many ways, just not in the way that I was conditioned to be. I am spiritually empowered.
What is Spiritual Empowerment?
I think many of us are spiritually empowered. We just never thought or spoke of it that way. We go about our days, enjoy our practices, and honor our spiritual path.
We are free to enjoy our spirituality in whatever way we choose to experience it. Free to allow Spirit to carry us through our greatest challenges. We are spiritually empowered.
Meditation and Our Daily Practices are Empowering Our Inner Peace.
We know that meditation, and our other daily practices, increase our inner peace. They create calm within and help us weather the external storms of chaos around us. They are empowering our inner peace and inner Divinity which allows us to be spiritually empowered.
Prayers and Affirmations are Empowering Our Co-Creation.
Prayers and affirmations are our conversation and connection with Spirit. Those conversations, that connection, are integral to our spiritual empowerment. They are asking our spirit teams to co-create our life. They are saying we acknowledge Spirit, we surrender to you, and ask for your love, support, protection, and guidance. That is spiritual empowerment.
Caring for Our Body, Mind, Heart, and Soul is Empowering Our Wholeness.
When we care for ourselves – body, mind, heart, and soul – we are signaling that we believe we are worthy of the Divine. We care for these vessels through which Spirit works. Caring for ourselves in every way possible is empowering our wholeness. Honoring our needs, and our wholeness, in whatever way resonates with us, is spiritual empowerment.
Honoring Our Intuitive and Divine Guidance is Empowering Our Lives.
The intuitive and Divine guidance we receive is intended to improve our lives. It is provided for us to move forward on our spiritual path and towards fulfillment of our purposes. It helps us fulfill our material and spiritual lives. Honoring our intuitive and Divine guidance is empowering our lives.
Honoring Our Spiritual Path is Spiritual Empowerment.
Committing to our spiritual path, our spiritual life, in whatever way resonates with us, is empowering us spiritually. Each of us will express our spiritual life in our own way and in our own time. Honoring that is spiritual empowerment.
In these strange times that so many of us are living in, when our rights are being stripped away, empowerment can feel unattainable. It is not though. Empowerment comes from within. It is a vibration. One that we can set the intention to resonate with. One we can claim.
Spiritual empowerment is within us and can never be taken away from us. We can develop it and resonate with it during life’s greatest challenges. It can carry us through anything life can throw at us.
I am living proof.
The image in this post is mine and is of me. I was guided to use it today. It reminds me of when I felt spiritually empowered. Long before the idea and the words entered my awareness. My spirit team is sending me the message that I have long been spiritually empowered.
