My Path Was Always There

A gravel path through a vine covered structure. An open gate at the far end shows the path continues on and on.

Path.

In a moment of frustration recently, I asked my spirit team to show me my path forward. Shortly after I published Monday’s blog post, I began receiving answers. Breakthroughs and messages began to flow. My energy began to return, and I left the in between phase.

I knew breakthroughs were coming, but this one really surprised me. It came into my awareness with all my clair senses. I heard it, saw it, felt it, and knew it all at the same time.

My path was always in front of me in the form of my soul's purposes.

As my material life crumbled around me, my path remained open. I lost my health insurance, my housing, my belongings and yet my path was still open. But through the disruptions in my life, the trauma, and other people’s influence, I had lost sight of what my path was. Until I asked to be shown and was reminded.

My path is two purposes. I have two aspects of my life that have always been open and available to me throughout the challenges in my life this year. One is my spiritual awakening, my spiritual path. The other is my writing, this blog. All other aspects of my life have been altered or ended.

Maybe I should have realized my path, but my soul's purposes came so naturally to me. I took them for granted. Looking back, my needs in both my spiritual path and my writing have been provided for even as the rest of my life fell apart. My path - my soul's purposes - remained available, flowing, and were provided for throughout it all.

My spiritual awakening and my writing are both my path and my purposes. For me, these are the paths of least resistance. They are the aspects of my life that flow with ease. They challenge and fulfill me. They are what bring me peace and joy.

Purpose.

That is what our souls' purposes feel like. They are the paths of least resistance. They flow. They challenge and fulfill us. They bring us peace and joy.

We sometimes complete our purposes without knowing because they come easy and are natural to us. We can overlook some of our purposes, take them for granted, because they are a part of our lives.

Some of us haven't found it yet so it is no surprise that so many of us are seeking purpose. It is what lights us up and where we find fulfillment. In purpose we find our reason for being. It is what makes us…us!

Often when we seek purpose, we look outside ourselves. To find it, look at what feels like flow in our life. Look for what feels right and lights us up. Look for the thing that we would do whether or not we would get paid for it. Or look for that thing that we've always dreamed of. And then follow that path.

For some of us, our purpose comes from within. We call it our soul’s purpose. It, or they, can be found by connecting with our soul. That connection can align us with our purpose, and our path forward flows from our intuition.

For some of us our purposes come from life’s challenges. We overcome and share our experiences. We inspire others through the wisdom we’ve gained from what challenged and changed us. Grew us. Made us.

For some of us our purposes find us, choose us. They emerge from within and change our lives. They pull us along the path forward. It is the thing we become obsessed with and the path we need to follow. It happens for us naturally.

However we find our purpose, it is our path towards fulfillment. It is the path our soul guides us to and provides what is needed.

Our paths and purposes are what flows for us. The paths of least resistance because they keep our interest and fulfill us.

Our purpose is where we feel at home. Our purpose feels right in our body, mind, heart, and soul. It is what makes us feel whole.
