Finding Soul Family

Three faces in a mystical connection.

Finding Soul Family.

For most of my life I had no idea that “soul family” was a thing. And to be perfectly honest, had I known I would have judged it as being “weird”. My actual family was not a place of love or support. And because of my experience, I thought families were something to escape. Also, I didn’t acknowledge my soul until much later in life. The idea of a “soul family” was unknown to me for a long time.

When I did learn about the soul and the connections our soul comes with, it came from spiritual conversations and content. People had experienced their soul family. Either they created it, were guided to it, or they attracted it. Regardless of how it came to them they found their soul family, the souls sent to help them along the path.

I vaguely remember making efforts to manifest a soul family. Much of the work that I do is while channeling so my memories can be blurry, but I feel like it came up. But maybe it didn’t, maybe it’s just time for me to experience soul family. I don’t know how, and it doesn’t matter, but I am beginning to find my soul family and it is so extraordinary.

The First Soul Family Member.

I randomly met them at a restaurant, we started talking, and had personal growth in common. They invited me to a marketing event for a personal growth company. My intuition said “go”, and I was in the flow. It was day one of the personal growth workshop and it changed my life.

I could probably write an entire post on the workshop, I learned so much about myself that night. It didn’t matter that I was being marketed to, and it didn’t matter that I had grown past what they were teaching, I was there for many other purposes.

When I got home from the event, I wrote an entire list of insights and growth that I became aware of that night. And in the coming days, I took huge leaps in my awakening process. Huge leaps, like my spirit animal the grasshopper.

Some weeks later, that person and I connected on social media and had another conversation, and again I took another huge leap in my awakening process. It was a pattern I could no longer deny, so I asked my intuition, “Are they soul family?”. The answer was a clear, “yes”. I gushed with gratitude.

We haven’t connected in a while. I’m not called or guided to so maybe our meeting was exactly what it needed to be. It was the growth that I needed at the time. I will be forever grateful for their part in my awakening process.

My Friend Loni is Soul Family.

The video I have on YouTube about my gift of mediumship leaving me garnered a lot of attention with over 62,000 views and over 900 comments. Many of those comments are mine as I replied to many of the people who had connected with that video. One of those comments was soul family.

Loni has a YouTube channel / podcast and, like me, enjoys making spiritual connections and content. She commented on that video and invited me to be on her podcast. It sounded fun and a skill that I should build so we connected and recorded a podcast episode.

As with my prior soul family member, whenever I spent time with Loni, I would take a huge leap forward on my spiritual journey. Our conversations bring new insights and reveal new truths. She is one of the few people who understand what I’m talking about when I share my experiences on my spiritual journey. And still to this day, every time we talk, I will make huge leaps on my spiritual path.

Even though our paths may be different, we see and acknowledge each other’s journey. We understand the unique challenges of awakening and walking a spiritual path. I receive so much from our conversations, and I hope that Loni does as well. I am forever grateful for her energy during my awakening process, and for her being soul family.

Not Our Soul Families.

As important as it is to spend time with our soul families, it is far more likely that we are spending most of our time with people that we aren’t as deeply connected with. The energies may be heavier and more erratic than our own. If we are sensitive or empathic, we may pick up energies that don’t align with ours. And that’s okay. It just means that we may need to practice more energy hygiene, and more self-care to bring ourselves back into our own energy.

We may need to be mindful of how we’re spending time, or the amount of time that we spend with people that are not part of our soul tribe. As long as we are taking care of our own vibration and our own needs, we can do what we want.  It’s our choice and our body, mind, heart, and soul to care for. It is our energy, our own emotional needs that we can manage on our own, and with Spirit.

Our Soul Families.

After my experience meeting members of my soul family, I’ve learned what I consider “soul family” to be. They are souls that enter our lives to help us along our journey. It is through our interactions with them, or our relationships with them that have the experience that our soul intends to have. They bring with them the energy that we deserve and are destined for.

Sometimes the help our soul family provides is holding up a mirror so that we can see ourselves more clearly. Sometimes our soul family inspires us to evolve. Sometimes the changes are so subtle that we may not notice until we leave their presence and begin to process. Sometimes the changes are big leaps forward.

I imagine I’ve met other members of my soul family over the years, but intuition tells me “no”, we haven’t. That’s kind of sad, but I do trust Divine timing. I’d rather focus on the joy and pleasure of meeting them now. It is truly a blessing that I am deeply grateful for.

I hope you’ve experienced soul family. I hope you have that deep connection in your life. If you don’t yet have that connection, I know that someday you will find your soul family. My intuition tells me you will. It is a blessing that I hope we all get to experience.
