I have never understood religious wars. The idea of fighting over faith seems counterintuitive. Faith is about love and dedication. Love in action is how we express it. What about any of that inspires war?
When we look deeper at faith, it is about love for our spiritual leader, our God, our practices, our traditions, our church, our community. Love for our Divine and human connections.
Our faith carries us through our lives. We have daily and weekly assemblies, prayers, and studies. We may sit alone or in groups. We may practice and connect with deities. Or shake hands with our neighbors in the pews.
The way we express it may be different, but the emotions are faith and love. We all seek connection with our faith. We all strive to overcome judgement of others. We all strive to be more like our version of the highest expression of our belief system.
We live our human lives and strive to live our spiritual lives. Our faith carries us through life’s challenges. Our practices and congregations soothe our spiritual needs. Uplift us when we feel suffering. And they return us to ourselves, our center.
Our spiritual paths are about love, service, gratitude, our personal growth, and a billion other expressions of spirituality. We serve our churches and temples. We support our spiritual communities. We express our gratitude in our practices and rituals.
Our daily lives have more similarities than differences. We have jobs, families, and life goals. Our days are filled with friends and family, daily prayers or practices. We all want lives full of love, wisdom, and abundance.
Our spiritual lives are often about fellowship and connections. We expand spiritually with those who express their faith like our own. We find love, support, protection, and guidance with our spiritual families.
Some of us heal and grow through our spiritual awakenings. Some of us are raised with faith. Some of us choose a spiritual path. Some of us choose no religion or faith tradition. Instead, it chooses us.
We are more alike than we are different. Once we choose a faith-based life, we are choosing a path of love. No matter the religious or traditional belief we are choosing to believe.
From a higher perspective, the human race is one. The Divine watch us divide ourselves with the illusion of separate groups or beliefs. This urge comes from ego. Division and separation are not of Divine dissent.
War is also from ego, not love. Religious wars are not about love when viewed from a higher perspective. Humans fight war. From the perspective of Divine love, we are one.
I can’t imagine that The Universe, God, Source, Spirit, Angels, Archangels, Ascended Masters, Ancestors, our families in Spirit want us to wage wars of ego. I can imagine that it is something the human race needs to evolve and grow from.
I look forward to a day when faith-based wars are obsolete. I look forward to a world with more love and less separation. I am going to keep the hope of world peace alive.
Memorial Day.
It’s Memorial Day in the U.S. It is a day we set aside to memorialize the people who paid the ultimate sacrifice for our country. The day we set aside to honor the people who have died fighting for our rights and freedoms.
We are grateful for their sacrifice.
Gratitude.
