Looking Back on 2020

Now that the weather has changed, I’m beginning to look back on 2020 and everything that has changed.

Many aspects of our lives have changed, our careers and jobs, our relationships, our families, our home life, our life outside of home. It seems as though no area of our lives has gone unchanged. Which is why I think it’s important to review, acknowledge and plan going forward.

Use the statements and questions below to look at 2020 and to gain perspective on this year.

Review what you’ve experienced, learned, changed, developed in 2020.

Acknowledge yourself for what you’ve experienced, learned, changed, developed. (Don’t hold back and give yourself lots of credit, kudos and love.)

What is something you learned in 2020 that you want to acknowledge?

What is something you experienced in 2020 that you want to acknowledge?

What is something you changed in 2020 that you want to acknowledge?

What is something you developed in 2020 that you want to acknowledge?

What emotions are you still processing from 2020 that you want to address later as you move forward? (It’s important to process and move forward rather than allowing it to weigh you down.)

What is something that you wanted to do in 2020 but had to reschedule to 2021? (Start planning, 2021 is closer than you think.)

What do you want to leave behind in 2020?

What are you looking forward to in 2021?

How do you want to be in 2021?

What do you want to do in 2021?

I invite you to print these statements and questions. Use them as thought and journal prompts as you review 2020 and the impact on your life, family career.

Let's begin processing this year so that we can move forward. I'm ready to move forward are you?

Be well,

Nikki
