Are you currently considering a big work or life change?
Big changes, career or life changes can be daunting. They take time, energy and resources. There can seem to be a million steps to get from where you are now to where you want to be.
But I like to look at it from a different perspective, baby steps.
These types of big changes don’t just happen overnight, at least for me they don’t. They take planning and many steps that happen over time. One step at a time.
I couldn’t look at my goal of changing my career and building my own business as a whole big thing. It would overwhelm me with thoughts of all the million things I needed to do. I had a huge list. I couldn’t manage all of the steps, all at the same time.
Instead I took one intentional action, one baby step at a time.
When I thought of it that way, as baby steps, I could make incremental progress without feeling overwhelmed. I didn’t think of the bigness of the change I was making. I was just taking baby steps, intentional baby steps.
